Toews, who has won three Stanley Cups with the Chicago Blackhawks, has not played since 2023 due to health concerns related to long COVID and chronic immune response syndrome.
On Friday, the Winnipeg Jets posted on their X page an image of Toews with one message.
“The kid from St. Vital is coming home,” the post reads.
This is a breaking news story. More details to come.
